Your Instructor
Lisa has been in the veterinary industry for over forty years.Starting in the kennel as a teenager, she worked as a technician until back issues had her reassess her role in the veterinary hospital setting.In 1990 she became the Office Manager at Case Veterinary Hospital when it was a two doctor, 7 staff member team.At her retirement as Hospital Administrator at Case in August of 2016, the practice had grown to a 5 doctor, 32 staff member hospital.
In 1994, Lisa achieved her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager designation and in 2003, she earned her Professional in Human Resource designation.She served on the CVPM Board in several positions for over fifteen years and was Chair of the board from 2009-2011.In 2015, she was humbled to be presented the VHMA’s President’s Award.
Lisa is the owner of Bird’s Eye-view Veterinary Consulting and is currently a consultant for Vetsuccess.Writing course content for Vetsupport was a good fit for her as she truly enjoys helping others grow and learn in a field that she is so passionate about.
In her personal life, Lisa has been married for 38 years and has one adult son who lives close by with his family.Sharing her home on the river with family, especially her 8 year old grandson, and friends is her passion and she enjoys any chance she can get to be on the river in their boat.She has a Cairn Terrier rescue mix that keeps her on her toes and reminds her why she thinks veterinary medicine is one of the most rewarding professions there is.
